Overall Response, i really enjoyed reading The writing book thief, even though it was really was a well written novel with so much detail. I ios don't read much, but out of all the books I have read, I would have to say this was one of my favorites! The author was able to keep me into the book. . even though it was a longer book than I normally read. The point of view the author created the book in was extremely unique. I thought it was pretty neat how the author used death as the narrator of the book. The only thing I didn't like was having to read this novel so fast, and how rushed we were to read it, i like reading on my own time because i am a slow reader. However, i did like discussing the book in groups, it really did help me understand the novel better. The author did an amazing job of tying up all of the loose ends and carrying out each motif until the very end. If you only watched the movie it is really a loss because you wouldn't have gotten all the detail the book gave.
